God understands us—sometimes better than we understand ourselves—and he wants us to understand him too. That's why Jesus told stories like the Parable of the Sower, which is all about understanding how our heart is affecting our relationship with God. Whether our hearts are hard, rocky, thorny, or soft, God wants to meet us where we are at. He understands us, and can help us get to a place where we can understand him too.
