What If We Could Open Ourselves Up To Love?

Listen Later

We all want love but we’re equally good at keeping love at bay because by nature, we are vulnerable beings and can easily feel hurt.
To open up to love we have to look at our fear of love, the pain that drives it and the wound that created the hurt of our pain.
In order to open up to love we have to hold our pain and give it love so that it can feel safe enough to open up to love.
It’s often a process of holding sometimes contradictory feelings or experiences-the longing for love and the pushing it away because of the fear of how love may hurt us.
In the end, it’s about creating an inner safety and power that we experience when we fully embrace our vulnerability and our entire human experience-which means loving our shadow too.
So how do we open up to love? Listen to your fear, your pain and your unmet needs and pour love into them. Then you’ll be able to not just yearn for love but to invite it in and receive it when it does arrive. And if you’re in a relationship, you’d be surprised how even couples can withhold love and keep love and vulnerability at bay.
Tune in for more…
Loving you from afar,
Corinne
