What I’m Taking Into 2021: Lessons Learned and Unlearned in 2020

2020 was a rollercoaster of a year. Amidst all of the ups and downs, this podcast is one of the many beautiful things that flourished out of it. I had always dreamed of having a podcast, my own little creative endeavour. Now, the fact that someone (anyone) actually listens and enjoys blows my mind.  If there is anything we can learn from a year like this, it is that out of great pain + struggle can emerge great beauty + evolution. In today's episode I dive into the lessons I learned in 2020 and the takeaways I'm carrying into 2021.  

I also discuss the general direction I will be taking the podcast in 2021 as we move into a new year and a new season! My hope is that the Sprout Podcast will serve as a platform to highlight the diversity of the Jewish experience. I want to interview Jewish creators about all-things Jewish pop-culture, spirituality, religion, and discuss how Jewish identity fits into everyday life for Jewish people around the world. My wish is that no matter where in the world you are, will feel more confident to speak about your Jewish identity with a greater sense of pride. I think that when we see ourselves represented in others, we allow ourselves to be fully seen.
