This month at Seed, our health campaign is deep diving into the topic of mental health in children and young people.
According to the Mental Health Foundation, 20% of adolescents may experience a mental health problem such as anxiety, depression, PTSD and more in any given year; 50% of mental health problems are established by age 14 and 75% by age 24; and 10% of children and young people (aged 5 to 16 years) have a clinically diagnosable mental problem, yet 70% of children and adolescents who experience mental health problems have not had appropriate interventions at a sufficiently early age.
Conclusively, as much as 75% of children and young people who experience mental health problems are not getting the help they need.
Today, I am delighted to be sharing the mic with Camilla Ross, Seed's Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist located in Gerrards Cross, Bucks.
In her clinic, Camilla sees and supports lots of children, teens and young adults struggling with anxiety. Here, she shares her knowledge and insights about how her modality can support them through building resilience and self-esteem and gaining greater self-awareness. Camilla also shares her top tools and techniques they can take away and apply in their daily lives.
