One of the big insights that I have had over the last five years is that people have an innate desire to be heard and understood.
This is a great concept to apply to content marketing.
Once someone feels heard and understood, there's something that happens in their brain and they feel really, really good.
And so with content marketing, what I do is, through my communications, make someone feel heard and understood.
So when they watch a video or consume content marketing, or receive that message, they have a reaction of wow, these guys get it. Like, they get me. It's like a breath of fresh air.
In content marketing, they're not speaking to me directly and I'm listening to make them feel heard and understood. I'm using content marketing and I'm communicating in a way that demonstrates to them that they've been heard and understood.
