Welcome to the very first episode of Every Womyn and Her Dog.
Today, Jo is joined by Katelyn Dwyer-Taylor, Kristy Lees, and Carissa Skrinnikoff to unpack a phrase we hear constantly:
“You need to do the work.”But what does that actually mean?
Is it therapy? Journaling? Awareness? Accountability?
Or something deeper?
This conversation is real, reflective, and at times… a little calling-ourselves-out. Because that’s often where the growth lives.
🐾 Meet the Womyin in the Room
Your Host, Joanne Lea — Women’s change maker, coach, therapist facilitator, and founder of many programs such as And She Rose and And She Thrives. Jo creates grounded, intelligent spaces for women to unpack identity, conditioning, cycles, leadership, reclaim feminine knowledge and the woman behind the role.
Her work blends therapeutic tools & coaching, intuition development, deep reflection and therapeutic tools with lived integration, supporting women to move from awareness into embodied self-leadership.
Katelyn Dwyer-Taylor — Founder of Taylor Made Digital Support, mum of two girls, and the behind-the-scenes support helping bring Joanne Lea’s work to life.
Kristy Lees — Marketing strategist at Think Social Marketing Agency, business owner, and mum of two boys navigating growth in business and life.
Carissa Skrinnikoff — Co Founder of Gorilla Energy, mum of four, leading in business and at home while navigating ambition and the juggle of both.
(Fun fact — Carissa is also the reason this podcast has its name after once saying “every woman and her dog needs Jo.” And we ran with it.)
This episode explores awareness vs integration, growth without shame, and what “doing the work” really looks like in real life.
Pull up a chair. Bring your tea. Let’s get into it. 🐾
