As vaccinations roll out all over the world hoping to end this pandemic, every country is aiming to have herd immunity. What is herd immunity? How can we achieve it? What is the role of vaccines in achieving herd immunity? These are the questions that we will answer for this week's episode. Herd immunity is also known as the population immunity, it occurs when a large portion of a community (the herd) becomes immune to a disease, making the spread of disease from person to person unlikely. As a result, the whole community becomes protected -not just those who are immune.
