The Gospel is the story of Jesus Christ. It is a beautiful tapestry of infinite colours of implication centred around the one great truth that Jesus Christ is King. In this story we find the good news of forgiveness of sins, the good news of the new covenant, the good news of healing, the good news of freedom from our bondages, the good news of power over evil forces, the good news of social justice, and so many more wonderful things that bring us to our knees in grateful worship. But the Gospel itself is not any one of these things, but the entirety of the magnificent, earth-shattering story of Jesus Christ, the Messiah.
