Do you realize the thing you put your identity in, if it’s a worldly thing, can be taken away at any moment? If or rather when it does, who are you?

Identity is

• the qualities, beliefs, personality, looks and/or expressions that make a person; self-image.
• who you are, the way you think about yourself, the way you are viewed by the world and the characteristics that define you.

Ask yourself these questions:

• How do I view myself?
• How am I perceived by the world?
• What are my characteristics and traits?
• Who does God say that I am?
  • You are made in his image
    • Genesis 1:27 "So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them." 
  • You are co-heir with Christ
    • Romans 8:17 "Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory."
  • You are fearfully and wonderfully made
    • Ps 139:14  "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."

Take time to sit and think about these questions. Write down your answers.
