On today’s episode, I’m chatting to founder of Her Sport, a media platform focused on bringing audiences the latest Irish and international women’s sports news. Involved in sports from as early as she could remember, this week’s guest has tried her hand at pretty much everything from ballet to soccer but it was swimming that captured her attention and made her fall in love with competition. Leaving the sport behind to focus on studies at age 17, it wasn’t until university that she rediscovered her passion for the pool in an attempt to widen her social circles and opened her eyes to something she had been fortunately shielded from for most of her life - inequality for women in sports. A topic that stayed with her after college, she decided to take her digital marketing skills and use them to create an online platform that celebrated women in sport and gave them a mouthpiece like never before. Two years on, Her Sport is making waves and growing by the day. Sharing how she did it, here’s what it’s like to be Niamh Tallon.

On today’s episode, I’m chatting to one of Ireland’s favourite DJ’s and radio hosts. Tuning in to a show whilst studying one day, this week’s guest knew he had a love for broadcast from the moment he heard it. Calling up his local station asking for a slot soon led to numerous opportunities that would shape the stellar resume he’s created thus far. Working at stations such as Beat, Spin 1038 and Spin SouthWest, he spent many years stretching himself seven days a week between the radio booth and nightclubs and festivals where he made a real go at his other passion - DJing. Now almost ten years into his career and having managed to strike the perfect balance between performing at venues and hosting shows on Spin, here’s what it’s like to be Marty Guilfoyle.

On today’s episode, I’m chatting to a peak performance coach and business consultant. Growing up in Massachusetts, this week’s guest is definitely no stranger to ambition. Setting goals around making it in corporate America from a young age, it wasn’t until he experienced a life altering accident that he realised his so called six figure success was making him miserable. Surviving the near fatal car crash was just the beginning of the story for the inspiring coach as he took the terrible trauma as an opportunity to finally live the life he had always wanted deep down. Spreading his message through coaching, speaking and his podcast that he hosts with friend, Kevin, the Hyper Conscious Podcast, here’s what it’s like to be Alan Lazaros.

On today’s episode, I’m chatting to founder and CEO of Stampify, a social enterprise that allows users to fight world hunger by completing a loyalty card with stamps from partner businesses. Cycling home from work one day, this week’s young entrepreneur stumbled across a full loyalty card he had that resulted in a free burrito. Noticing a homeless man sitting outside the shop, it wasn’t until he was in the comfort of his home that evening enjoying the free food he could’ve easily paid for, that he had a eureka moment. Gathering together a group of college friends, he set to work on creating a non profit organisation set to change the face of our world hunger epidemic. Navigating pivotal roadblocks along the way, sharing thoughts on today’s pressures to achieve success at a young age and most importantly how he did it - here’s what it’s like to be Conor Leen.

On today’s episode, I’m chatting to fashion designer and founder of AOIFE IRELAND. Noticing her love for fashion from a young age, this week’s guest wasted no time in pursuing her dream and enrolled in a university course to study fashion design the minute she left secondary school. Finding herself interning in New York for the one and only, Marc Jacobs, it was evident the up and coming designer had a bright future ahead and continued to take things further by moving to Paris following graduation, to fully immerse herself in the industry. Returning home to Ireland from the French capital, she began gifting pieces of her collection to Instagram influencers and from there, things started to take off. Focusing on using only sustainable Irish materials, her designs landed her on the runway of Paris Fashion Week last year, showcasing her Autumn Winter collection. Sharing insights into the new role of social media in the growth of the fashion industry, what it’s really like working as a designer in Ireland and how she burst onto the scene, here’s what it’s like to be Aoife McNamara.

On today’s episode, I’m chatting to CEO and founder of coffee company, Minor Figures. Growing up surrounded by Australia’s rich cafe culture, this week’s guest got his start in the industry when he co-founded everyone’s favourite reusable KeepCup, with his brother and sister. Responsible for the brand’s growth in Europe, he began to immerse himself in the continent’s coffee market and in 2014, stumbled upon a gap for nitro cold brew in London. Inspired by what he had seen on travels to Japan, Minor Figures was created with a focus on sustainability and sells only 100 percent plant based products. Sharing his thoughts on entrepreneurship, how he built his company and the impacts of COVID 19 on the coffee industry, here’s what it’s like to be Stuart Forsyth.

On today’s episode, I’m chatting to a former Danish reality TV star, professional dancer, recording artist and vegan activist. Beginning her entertainment career at the age of two, by twelve this ambitious performer had already signed onto her own reality TV show that would eventually lead her to make the big move to LA. Leaving behind a recording contract in Denmark, the then eighteen year old had her sights set on the City of Angels and packed her bags to follow her dreams all by herself. Settling into the crazy whirlwind of Los Angeles didn’t quite pan out the way she’d hoped and it took a near fatal facial disease to give her the wake up call she’d been searching for. Sharing her rise to fame, how she navigated the toxic nature of the notorious city and her journey with Veganism alongside founding her nonprofit organisation, Starts With One Today - here’s what it’s like to be Victoriah Bech.

On today’s episode, I’m chatting to founder of The Naked Collective, a brewing company producing a range of natural, healthy beverages, built around your daily needs. Leaving behind a successful corporate career in the drinks industry, this week’s guest felt it was time to do things his own way and began building what would soon become Rye River Brewing Company. Discovering he no longer had a vested interest in producing alcoholic drinks, he sold up and set out to create a new carbon neutral venture that centred around the philosophy to do no harm and do good where possible. Mixing up plants, vitamins and water, The Naked Collective, found its home in Kildare and aims to enhance your body to suit every occasion - whether that be work, sleep, chill, play or a much needed immuno boost. Taking me through the journey from day one, here’s what it’s like to be Niall Phelan.

On today’s episode, I’m chatting to founder of My Tennis Events who also happens to be an ex-Apprentice candidate. Sitting in front of her TV at age nine, this week’s guest can remember being mesmerised by Lord Sugar’s board room from the moment she saw it. Taking her first steps into the world of business at just 14 she has since built herself up quite the career. Making it to the final five of The Apprentice season 13 wasn’t the first time she’d experienced success, as prior to becoming a household name she had escalated her tennis events company to become the leading player in its field. Solving issues with shopping during COVID via her new online ordering platform, Shopping Slot, and lending a hand to budding entrepreneurs through a new coaching scheme, there’s little this individual can’t do. Sharing her story of how she did it, here’s what it’s like to be Sabrina Stocker.
