This week's podcast looks at the award-winning success of the HTC One at the Mobile World Congress, Amazon's rebranding of its video-on-demand service and the rise of in-app purchases and free-to-play mobile games.

Google has announced the new Nexus 5 and a brand new version of the Android operating system for it to run on -- in fact the Android 4.4 update is named after some delicious chocolate named KitKat. Oh and in true What Mobile fashion, we once again discuss BlackBerry's impending doom.

We're starting to get all the financial reports hit our desks, and it looks like Apple, Nokia and Microsoft are still earning more money than us.

We're not sure if you've heard but Apple's just launched some new tablets for us all to enjoy. We're not too sure if we're keen on the iPad Air name, but it's thinner and looks more like the iPad Mini -- which coincidentally also got an update. The iPad Mini now comes with a retina display, which we guess is always nice. Apple isn't the only company showing off its new wares, with Nokia also deciding that it too wants to launch a tablet -- with the release of the Nokia Lumia 2520. The Lumia 2520 isn't really anything special, but it runs Windows RT 8.1 and looks like a Lumia. Nokia also had two phablets to show off in the form of the Lumia 1520 and the Lumia 1320, as well as some budget phones from its Asha line. We also had our first bit of breaking news, although you'll have to tune in to see what that was all about.

It's that time of the week, it's podcast day -- and this week do we have something special for you. We almost weren't able to deliver you this week's podcast after consecutive technical issues in the What Mobile studio, but thankfully they are now all sorted and we have some exciting things for you to listen to. Firstly we talk about the confirmed Apple Event which is due to take place on October 22, the same day as Nokia World. Funnily enough the Microsoft Surface 2 tablets will also be making their way into the world that day. Then we move onto more Microsoft news to talk about Windows Phone 8 GDR3 -- all pretty standard stuff. We then take pleasure in talking about the new HTC One Max, which like the iPhone 5s comes with a fingerprint sensor (arguably the most usable feature on a phone to date... not). To round this week's What Mobile Podcast off we have the Hudl and MyTablet coming from two very large retailers, but what is the point of them?
