1 year ago I had the first of 2 major surgeries. Unfortunately the first surgery wasn't enough. Exactly 11 months ago I had my Left leg amputated above the knee. While I have learned to walk again, I can't walk well and I can't walk for very long. The gulf between where I am, where I was, and where I want to be is vast. Somedays it's all that I can see. Yesterday was one of those days. Luckily, I have a great Physical Therapist who is helping me navigate this journey. In the process, I am gaining clarity about life. Maybe today's episode will help someone else, but it may just help me. And Brenna, that's OK too.
