Meadowlands. Named for a swamp, a stadium and a whole lot of places to put things nobody's supposed to find. Fitting, because this is the hour where the show starts burying its secrets in plain sight.
Tony's getting paranoid about therapy. Who saw him walk in? What does Melfi actually know? So he does what any reasonable man would do and has a crooked cop follow his psychiatrist, which goes exactly as badly as you'd hope. Meanwhile Christopher is still shaking from his mock execution, and then he and Adriana walk into the worst thing that's happened to anyone so far.
Jackie's gone, there's an empty chair at the top, and everyone's waiting to see if Tony and Junior go to war over it. Instead, Tony pulls the cleanest move of the season: give the old man the crown, keep the money, and let the feds point their cameras at somebody else.
The Doctor of Podcasting and Mike White of The Projection Booth break down the Junior handoff, the Makazian mess, A.J. learning what his last name buys him, and Meadow giving the class a quick lesson at the funeral.
Episode four. And yeah… Tony just learned the most useful thing a boss can know: the title is the target.
