What On Earth One?

Madame Web tried and for that, we can give them props...meanwhile...Drive Away Dolls, Hazbin Hotel, and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League are doing great.

*Spoilers* for I.S.S., Argylle, Miller's Girl, American Fiction

A quick test of our love in honor of the season of loooooove, then some wrestling talk (mostly Christian), and a recap of movies we have seen these past two weeks. Not to mention a dash of gym talk (not really).

Now for the TV and Video Games of 2023. Don't worry, we also touch on the movies/TV/Games that lie ahead for 2024.

It's been a while! Let's recap the movies 2023 had for us. It's opinion based so of course you're going to disagree with us and possibly hate us. That's okay!

*Spoiler alert (even though it has been a minute) for Don't Worry, Darling, Stranger Things, The Boys, and House of the Dragon*  An episode filled with frustrations toward poor storytelling, toxic masculinity AND femininity,  and in-your-face girl power. We recognize girl power done well and how patriarchy is more toxic than meets the eye, but not in the way you might think. Don't worry it's more light-hearted than it sounds. Trust us, on this podcast we usually don't take things THAT seriously.

Something in the way hmm mmmm.

Unlike Batman, hear us sound like proud parents when talking about the long awaited neo-noir. The aesthetic, the choices, the story, everything. It’s no riddle figuring out why the film did and is so good.

Yes, this is out of date but as they say, “good things come to those who wait“. We discuss video games, some of our favorites, and why we like them. You’ll notice we talked about what we were looking forward to when it came to releases. If reminiscing on the recent past is your thing than this episode if for you.

(Pt. 2/2) Our intentions were to talk about the now released Snyder Cut. We deviated a little too much so the outcome is our first two-parter. Was that boob shot really necessary, Joss? Listen to the second half of our unnecessarily long podcast where we actually talk about the Joss Whedon cut and what we hope/hoped the Snyder Cut would fix. Also, while two nerds complain "ThAt's Not COmiC bOoK accUrAte", try and figure out how many times one of them says she hates Quinten Tarintino.

(Pt. 1/2) Our intentions were to talk about the now released Snyder Cut. We deviated a little too much so the outcome is our first two-parter. Is it really a good idea to abruptly change a character's race/background/history? Are the stereotypes enforced when those characters are changed? Don't worry, we are two people of color. That doesn't excuse us, or anything we say, but know that we come from the side that needs more representation. Maybe, just maybe, not in the way you'd think.
