Remembering God is faithful is key to us escaping temptation and sin, and it helps move us forward in God's good purpose for our lives.

God has done what is impossible for us. He has made a clear and straight way for us to overcome sin and come to Him. Jesus is the Way to the Father and the Truth of God's faithfulness and power. (Matt 17:14-21; 2 Cor 6:2; 1 Cor 1:9; 10:13)

God has a message in His Son, a message that can help us in our time of need! (Matt 16; Heb 2:14-18; Heb 4:14-16).

My soul find rest in Christ, our God, alone. He, alone, is our Rock, Refuge, Deliverer, Strength, Support, and Salvation (Matt 16:18; Ps 18:1-2; 31:1-3; 62:1, et al. )

The Devil's defeat is found in the redemption Christ paid at the cross. We can live lives knowing Sovereignty of our King and finding freedom in our High Priest. (Matt 16:15; Heb 2:14-17; 4:14-16; 7:11-28).

The Mount of Transfiguration sums up for us that the hope God offers is found only in His Son. (Matt 16)

God's purpose and desires for us are trustworthy and bring life. The desires of man become stumbling blocks in the purpose of God (Matt 16; Jer 17).

Knowing and remembering who the Christ is can and will save us from our sins and temptations, as it will encourage us and direct us to submit to Him (Matt 16:13-27).

The Pharisees were rejecting Jesus' identity. The disciples accepted His identity, but misunderstood His mission/purpose (Matt 16).

We are born again in the Son, we are born into a living hope, and an glorious inheritance, and the faith that brings us this hope is far more precious than gold! (1 Pet 1:3-9)
