Back from defending herself, Lola is handed a highly politicized case involving a Congresswoman and her son. Judge Benner begins to show her true colors by not only assigning the case to Lola, but also arranging an ambush by the Congresswoman. Meanwhile, Emily and Luke continue their love affair with long walks on the beach- in public! Keeping Lola sane during the case, Mark is challenged with a controversial case of his own. A doctor is accused of murder in the wake of a young Black woman’s death and Mark faces his first loss. In the case of Mark’s father, Amy believes in Vic’s innocence while Mark seeks the truth.
