Judge Benner has dropped out of the race for attorney general after Lola figures out that she leaked the memo. Coincidentally, this puts even more of  a strain on their relationship as we watch them go toe to toe throughout the episode with Judge Benner ultimately apologizing. Mark takes on a new set of issues as he throws away his current case and works to free someone he wrongfully put behind bars 8 years ago. Lemily is still fighting for their relationship as Coach Emily learns so important lessons about confronting your fears from her client.

CBS’s All Rise received their second courtroom gunman this season, and of course it takes place in Lola’s courtroom. This time the gunman holds Lola and many others at gunpoint and even contemplates killing himself.Thankfully, his daughter was able to save the day by sharing how she cares in a society that often allows people to fall through the cracks. Meanwhile, things are back on the rocks in everyone's relationship without much background context. Sherri’s near death experience leads her to finally open up and give us what we have been waiting for.

Tonight’s episode had all the feels! After hooking up, Amy and Mark have to decide what’s next for their relationship and choose to take a chance on their love. Luke surprises Emily with a grand Valentine’s gesture that hits a little too close to home and reminds her of her marriage to her abusive Ex. We also join him on his first day at the D.A.’s office- he has a lot to learn!  Meanwhile, Lola is asked by Judge Benner to investigate her history for any potentially harmful facts. All roads lead to a case involving Benner’s work with an unethical law firm.

Lola is having a busy week, which is made even worse after her mom writes an article about her in the LA newspaper. Marc's dad wins his case, but their relationship continues to be strained. Luke takes a clerkship with the D.A.'s office, leaving Lola wondering why he didn't apply to be a clerk for her. Emily fights a murder case, and wins, after it comes out that it was self-defense. Now that Marc's father's case has ended, Marc and Amy are finally able to be with each other.

A young ex gang member named Diego, gets called to take part in a murder though he has made it clear he no longer want to engage in gang activity. Emily requests to be Diego's lawyer and work to prove that he is innocent, but the prosecution carries out questionable acts that make proving Diego's innocents difficult. The prosecution puts a microphone in Emily and Diegos meeting room and arrest the gang members who carried out the murder. Meanwhile, Lola travels too D.C. to help her husband land his dream job though it is across the country. Marc and Vic's relationship takes possible steps back as the murder weapon is found in his home and Marc loses faith. Luke and Emily don't see eye to eye about bugs in the courthouse, but Lemily is still in full swing.

Back from defending herself, Lola is handed a highly politicized case involving a Congresswoman and her son. Judge Benner begins to show her true colors by not only assigning the case to Lola, but also arranging an ambush by the Congresswoman. Meanwhile, Emily and Luke continue their love affair with long walks on the beach- in public! Keeping Lola sane during the case, Mark is challenged with a controversial case of his own. A doctor is accused of murder in the wake of a young Black woman’s death and Mark faces his first loss. In the case of Mark’s father, Amy believes in Vic’s innocence while Mark seeks the truth.
