Girl power author and self help guru Sabrina Smith has been dubbed the "Vegas Virgin". Known as being an ice queen Sabrina knows there is one man out there who knows her secret. Having a one night stand with gambler Jase Reeves was not in the cards but sometimes you have to go all in to win.

This is the first book of author Kristina Knight I have read and I really enjoyed it. What the Gambler Risks is part of the Billionaire Cowboys series but can be read as a standalone. I am going to go back and check out this series.

To be honest this book did start off slow but once the chemistry exploded between Jase and Sabrina I was hooked. Both of them so scarred from watching their parents self destruct in one way or another, they ran from their feelings. No matter what excuse came up to stay away from the other there was something special pulling them together.

This was a very sensual couple. Their sexual intensity was loving and heated. They became friends as well as lovers. I think that surprised them the most.

I definitely like this book and excited to read more from Kristina Knight!

Cute, easy read about two emotionally challenged people

This was my first book by Kristina Knight - I did enjoy it! A cute, easy read about 2 people who are determined not to let love rule their lives.

Sabrina is a fairly new self help author who meets Jase while on her book tour. Sabrina writes about self-empowerment after feeling helpless all her life due to her single mother who was always looking for love and a man to take care of her.

Jase is a professional card player (NOT gambler as he insists) but he is also a successful business man in his own right. He has been scarred emotionally as well by his parents - his mother was a gambling addict and he spent his childhood trying to fix her.
