FEATURING MICHAEL SIEGEL - Daniel Defense, the gun manufacturer whose AR-15 assault rifles were used to kill 19 children and 2 teachers in Uvalde, Texas, has maintained a familiar silence after the massacre. It is common practice for gun makers to absolve themselves of responsibility when their weapons are used for mass murder, as if they are mere bystanders whose products were misused against their will.

But, Michael Siegel writes, “evidence shows that the culture around guns contributes significantly to gun violence. And firearm manufacturers have played a major role in influencing American gun culture.”
