I have a surgical practice that focuses on labiaplasty and vaginoplasty. I also do a lot of clitoral hood surgeries to go along with the labial and vaginal work. The number of clitoroplasty (making the clitoris appear smaller and less prominent) and clitoral exposure surgeries I'm doing grows every year. With the rapid growth of testosterone pellet use and injectable testosterone use in women, more and more very large clitorises are having to be dealt with. In Brazil, there is a great deal of injectable testosterone use and the number of clitoral surgeries are ever rising. Listen in on the experience of my good friend Dulce.

Dulce presents a marvelous presentation on this relatively recent phenomena and reviews the current available techniques used around the world to treat the problem surgically when conservative management is not enough. Stopping Testosterone alone often does not solve the problem. Pros and Cons, good and bad, and her personal reflections on the various techniques are covered. My personal technique is briefly introduced as are those of famed clitoral surgeons Amr Seifeldin, Tina Batalha, Ricardo Krause, Alvaro Ochoa, Ozgur Aglamis.

PERSONAL REFLECTIONS ON DULCE HENRIQUEZ, MD

Dulce and I have been friends for many many years and have traveled the world speaking at Congress’s and giving workshops on Cosmetic Gynecology in this specialized field. She has tackled the problem of clitoral enlargement with a great deal of zeal. It is the focus of her clinical practice and training programs. Her personal training background travels to Poland under the tutelage of Dr. Dawid Serafin, also a good friend of mine who has visited me at least twice when I was in my Laguna Beach practice years back. I love Dulce’s keen mind and openness to learning. I love the banter we share when we discuss techniques and surgical approaches. We have many educational adventures ahead.
