Welcome to your San Diego County Fair Insider Guide to what to expect on Independence Day: Friday, July 4th, 2025!
Beyond the classic rides, games, food, and shopping, your Fair admission opens up a world of discovery. Throughout the day, make sure to check out ongoing attractions such as the Swifty Swine pig races, the Flying Royals, the Pet-Tacular Parrot Show, the Great American Petting Farm, the amazing Wilder Show and more.
If you're looking for unique demonstrations and shows, there's plenty to see! Witness "Monster Trucks" in action at various times in the Del Mar Arena -- and definitely check out our 8 p.m. glow show!
Your Fair admission includes musical performances on multiple stages, including a 9 p.m. show on the Paddock stage from a Toby Keith tribute act.
We also have numerous Fourth of July festivities that start with a parade down our Main Avenue at 2 p.m. The parade will feature local fire departments, entertainers, and more.
And of course, no Fourth of July celebration is complete without fireworks! At 6 p.m., we have a sensory-friendly fireworks show inside The Sound. This show is thoughtfully designed for individuals of all ages who experience sensory processing differences, including those with autism and PTSD. This inclusive event offers the joy and wonder of fireworks in a more gentle, comfortable environment.
At 9 p.m., we have our annual Fireworks Spectacular. For an enhanced experience, you can secure reserved seating for the fireworks in the Grandstand.
And remember, you don't have to leave after the Fireworks show. Stick around a bit to avoid the rush for the exits. Try some rides, enjoy some games, grab a dessert, and listen to some live music. It's Friday night at the Fair. What could be better?
Have a happy Fourth. The Fair is open through Sunday, July 6th. You can find more information and full schedules at SDFair.com.
