If
Jesus cried out from the cross, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken
me?” it lets me know that even HE felt forsaken at least once. Was He
forsaken? No, He was “in the process of victory”, but sometimes when
we are in a trial or in pain, it feels like it’s all over. Have you felt that
way? In Jesus’ case, it would go to the point of His death and what seemed like
a wasted life and a failed mission. But even death was not the end. He rose!
When we feel like it’s the end and that our friends and our God have forsaken
us, it is often the case that “It’s not over yet.” I’ve seen
Christians suffer and wondered why God didn’t step in right then and change everything,
but those same people endured and showed victory in their lives.
This
message will reinforce some of you who are suffering and remind you of all the
times in your past that you thought it was “the end”, but found
victory. An old saying says, “While there is life, there is hope.” In
Jesus case, life ended… but hope did not. In your case, check your
relationship with God and go forward believing Him and His promise more than
you believe what you see and what the devil has to say.
