Join us as we discuss this very important topic and promote an online webinar being held August 23, at 12PM HST.
Our guests are Francis Joseph Gallego, LCSW, who brings over 20 years of experience supporting clients with stress, anxiety, LGBTQI-related issues, family conflicts, and trauma with respect and compassion, emphasizing cultural humility and diversity. As well as José Barzola, who is the host of the August 23rd event. He is dedicated to fostering social change through nonviolence, promoting diversity, inclusion, and equity, currently serving as the Conflict and Peace Specialist at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa. At Love Pono, our violence prevention efforts are deeply intertwined with understanding and addressing intergenerational trauma. By acknowledging the historical and systemic roots of trauma, we create programs that foster healing and resilience across generations. Our approach emphasizes community empowerment and culturally sensitive practices, ensuring that the unique needs of each community are met. Through education, support, and advocacy, we aim to break cycles of violence and promote lasting, holistic healing.
