Prior to Sacramento State Played his first three collegiate seasons at Northern Arizona. Was named honorable mention all-Big Sky on special teams as a freshman in 2016 and as a linebacker in 2017. Appeared in all 11 games where he registered 30 total tackles, including a career high six stops against New Mexico Highlands. As a sophomore, he ranked fourth on the team with 61 tackles (28 solos), including five for loss and 1.5 sacks. Had five tackles and returned an interception 85 yards for a touchdown against Northern Colorado. Was credited with three or more tackles in six games. Suffered a season-ending knee injury against Eastern Washington in the second game of 2018. Despite being limited to two games, he still amassed 17 tackles with a pair of TFLs and 1.5 sacks.
