Welcome to episode 16 of What Was That Called Again? with Thomas and Will. In this week’s adventure, we dive head first into the world of animal cinema with three flicks featuring dangerous animals. Were animals hurt during the making of the films we discuss? Were humans hurt? The answer to those questions is yes. But thankfully you don’t need to see them. You can just listen to us talk about them instead.

We end this episode with a creative segment that involves a Jack Black and Jamie Lee Curtis lead remake of one of the titles discussed in this episode, in the style of John Hughes. Thomas begins laughing uncontrollably and so Will presses on ahead without much help for the most part.

Welcome to episode 15 of What Was That Called Again? with Thomas and Will. In this week’s episode we kick it off by discussing the film WAKE IN FRIGHT (1971) so, if you would like to avoid mild spoilers for that film, skip ahead to the 12:00 minute mark.

Will gets nearly a Michael Caine triple feature this week, except Thomas decided to not do a Michael Caine movie as the third title. There’s not even really a good explanation for why, so, this is one of the theme-less episodes.

We finished the episode off with another meltdown brought on by the quote of the week and we do the thing where we try to figure out how that quote even comes up within the film it’s from. It leads us to a path full of bananas and a bizarre interrogation.

Also if you are Italian, send us an email. Tell us if you are offended by this episode but also make sure you tell us how you found the show. We skirt the line with the problematic with our Italian stereotypical phrases so we can only hope this one doesn’t come back to bite us when we run for political office.

Welcome to episode 14 of What Was That Called Again? with Thomas and Will. In this episode, Thomas chooses a theme which Will is not quite certain about. All three of the films sound quite bonkers but in different ways, yet somehow they all fit within the same box. 

We get to hear how good or not good Thomas is at accents. If anyone is offended, please email us and explain why in detail. We also end up guessing how a particular plot point plays out in one of the films, and we will find out just how wrong we were on our own time when we actually sit down to watch the film for the first time so we will be sure to report back on that asap.

Welcome to episode 13 of What Was That Called Again? with Thomas and Will. In this episode, Thomas provides Will with a film that is super well known, just to see if Will would embarrass himself by getting it wrong.

We also take a sidebar discussion to talk about originality in Quentin Tarantino’s films. You’ll have to decide for yourself if this sidebar was done solely for the purpose of padding the runtime of the episode, though.

Finally, we close out the show as we do every week with our creative segment and this time we talk about a prequel/spinoff(?) of Clint Eastwood’s directorial debut Play Misty For Me but in our version, it is from the woman’s prospective and is set before the events of Play Misty, and it co-stars Jessica Harper and Jeff Goldblum. This episode wasn’t one of the best if I’m being honest, but we closed it out with a home run so you can’t be too disappointed, we hope.

Welcome to episode 12 of What Was That Called Again? with Thomas and Will. In this episode, we kick off with a quick sidebar about solar eclipses. We then dive into three films of children who are suspicious of men with bad intentions. Will has one of the longest thought processes in this episode as he tries to make sense of which titles go with what plot summaries.

The quote Thomas pulled for this episode ends up sparking a creative segment where we, once again, try to come up with what is happening in the scene which the line is from. I’m sure we weren’t even close, but who’s keeping track?

Welcome to episode 11 of What Was That Called Again? with Thomas and Will. In this episode, we are going full-on cannibal. We provide an update in regards to episode 5 where we planned to add a synopsis to a movie on imdb, however imdb has still not yet had the guts to include what we wrote on the movie’s page.

Our creative segment is sprung in by a comically incorrect mention of one of the titles in this episode, and Thomas laughs hysterically at the wrong name Will said. We then create the new cinematic universe for the not at all popular or known cannibal film.

Get your napkins and silverware ready, and dig in.

Welcome to episode 10 of What Was That Called Again? with Thomas and Will. We are officially in the double digits. And what an episode we have for you. Thomas goes against his typical style and chooses three films that really don’t have any connecting thread between them. This makes Will all kinds of confused.

We also go on tangents about our region free blu ray players and Will goes on a mini rant about the French new wave and how he is really not a fan. Lastly, we end on the worst Robert De Niro impression, which is a pretty good Ringo Starr impression.

Welcome to episode 9 of What Was That Called Again? with Thomas and Will. In this episode, Thomas selects three movies that revolve around crime and conspiracy. Both of us were drinking prior to and during the recording, so it made for a bit of a more rambunctious episode, which is probably a nice change of pace after the last two lower energy episodes. This was also the first time we had recorded in about two and a half months so, maybe coming back fresh did us some good.

In this episode we also debut a new segment that is here to stay where Thomas selects a quote taken from one of the three movies and reads it from imdb and Will tries to guess what movie the quote is from. We thought the segment turned out to be a real home run.

Lastly, the creative segment concludes with one of the biggest laughs we’ve had so far on this young show, after which, we immediately go out on what we felt was a high note. You won’t want to miss it.

Welcome to episode 8 of What Was That Called Again? with Thomas and Will. This is a fairly low energy episode as it was recorded pretty late at night and Will was on pain meds for his back. Nevertheless, he puts his brain to the test in a haze-like state, and tries to figure out what plot goes with which title. Then in the creative segment, Thomas and Will create a version of the film Chungking Express (not one of the featured movies in this episode,) as directed by John Woo. Needless to say, it involves guns, slow motion, and pineapple.

In this episode, we stick to the horror genre as Thomas picks a couple of somewhat similar sounding films and one oddball to try to stump Will. Will examines the plots and titles given to him and makes his best educated guess at what goes with what. This is not always a fruitful endeavor for him.
