Whether you've been here since day one or you just started listening yesterday we are about to take a trip down memory lane. Of course as I usually do there are a few things i forgot to say but maybe ill tell those stories another day. I've been thinking about this for awhile and i got the feeling that it was time to put the podcast into perspective. I officially launched the first episode either late June or early July of 2017 after months of debating if i could even do this. Now here we are a couple of years later and i'm feeling good. I retired for a nice chuck of time but the shit kept calling me believe it or not so i came back on the scene like i never left. Even while i was gone my audience and listens kept expanding and for that I am grateful. I think i've wrote enough it's time to press play..... Subscribe, Rate and Review on iTunes. On this episode we revisit Ava Duvernay's When They See Us on Netflix. I wanted to give folks time to digest the film and let all the "Ra Ra" die down a bit. We walk through the film from beginning to end which covers the men presently known as the Exonerated Five formerly known as the Central Park Five. As difficult as it was for me to get through the series the first time it's equally as important that we continue to have this dialogue. In addition let me welcome YouTuber and Designer Chris Welch AKA Dream Big to the show. If you haven't already check me out on his channel on episode Jay-Z vs Kanye West Who's Better. This has been one hell of a run and to be honest it really wasn't intentional. This week we have friend and fellow podcaster Monique better known as @AmazeLife on social media on the show. We are discussing who Robert Smith is, What He Did and Its Impact, the Student Debt Crisis, Debt Free Education Politics and More.... Subscribe, Rate and Review on iTunes. Short and to the point. We all gotta play the best hand we can with the cards we are dealt.
I had to do some show notes for this one. Hopefully we touched on a bunch of issues but of course there were some things that were left unsaid. Nevertheless i'd like to welcome fellow Dallas native and host of Diary of A Afrolatina podcast Shae to the podcast better know as @TGKNOWSCURLS. We had a great conversation on self confidence, ugly phases and even had a few sidebars. Yall know i can't just stay on topic. I know been i've gone for awhile but shoutout to all the listeners new and old. Subscribe, Rate and Review on iTunes. Ahh man sometimes you have to say fuck all that shit. Your family, friends, associates, economics status and even your mind will lead you astray. Find a way to clear out and push though all the noise. Feel free to use my mantra to get you to the next level of your life. It's easy to let all of those influences get the best of you but I challenge you to take the hard road instead and say Fxck All That Sh*t. Subscribe, Rate and Review on iTunes. Love Is Crazy. Love Is Complex. Love Is A Lie. Love Is the Truth. I want to set the stage just so you know what you are about to listen to. There are so many writings and thoughts on love that go as far back as the beginning of time I just wanted to share mine. At the top of the episode I read an excerpt on love from my unreleased book.
