Today I sit down with Matt Brandyberry of the band From Ashes To New. This was all part of a series of interviews I did on November 10th.
Up to this point, I had only been exposed to Matt's music for only a year and there really wasn't much about the band that I knew. The Wikipedia page wasn't as in-depth, but I knew I wanted to know more about Matt, his influences and the deeper meaning behind his music.
We touch on his upbringing in his small, sleepy town in rural Pennsylvania, how his musical influences evolved into his current band and where his heart for writing comes from.
ALSO IN THIS EPISODE:
I will be talking about the 40th anniversary of the radio station, 98 KUPD-FM. I dive into the longevity that is the radio station as well as my piece of its history. Even though I find it hard to be a part of the history, it's so surreal to think that a radio station has stuck around as the same format for this many years.
I mention my Facebook Lives that will be taking place, so if you ever want to participate in one of them, follow my Facebook fan page at:
