Gaby opens up about the law of polarity and the balance that it brings. It’s through the darkness that we experience that we are able to see the light that exists in the world.
It’s through the lows that you learn to appreciate the highs. And while there are no words that can heal when someone is in the midst of grief, it is through those losses that love can taste so bittersweet.
The duality of life exists because it has to – it’s a law of the universe, it’s the way it all works. And hopefully this episode can bring you some solace in knowing this.
Nothing in life is personal and we must all experience loss in one way or another, much like we will all experience death. Gaby recently finished “All About Love” by Bell Hooks and there’s a chapter about grief that brought her so much peace.
Bell talks about how death is simply a part of life and how as a society we hold so much shame in expressing our grief. We apologize when we cry about missing a loved one who passed and instead of apologizing we must welcome this processing of grief.
We should not be ashamed of having been touched by death. Rather, we should allow death to help us create the space to keep that person’s memory alive. And what a beautiful way that is to look at life.
So listen in, you might just open your eyes to a new perspective.
