I have big feeling about everything that has been going on since...forever! Black people tried to tell you--and the FAAFO phase is in full effect?

On December 9th, my poetry grandmother passed away. I am still dealing with her passing--and it makes me remember what it was like to lose my maternal grandmother. It is impossible to convey her effect on my life, social criticism, and my poetic imagination.

I am not okay...and maybe, that too, is okay.

The world was speeding past me, and I had to get some catch up done. The fact that Quincy Jones is gone there's a link is our Blackness/this Black experience that is now missing.

Debate Night 2024 was something which had to be seen to be believed! Once more, Madame Vice President brought everything we needed, and had a 78-year-old on the ropes and on the floor--I ain't seen a whuppin so bad since I saw my cousin get got by our aunt!
