A US study has found prescriptions for ADHD medications have spiked in recent years, with the sharpest increase among middle-aged and older women.
In Australia, there are now more women being treated for ADHD than men for the first time.
Most of the surge has occurred post COVID with prescriptions for ADHD medications more than doubling between 2020 and 2023.
