What’s It Like to Move to Ireland from the US? (Ep. 55) [Re-run]

Listen Later

We know that many Irish people have moved to the United States in the past decades but how about the Americans who decided that Ireland is the best place for them and their families?
Believe it or not, there are a lot of people who move from the US to Ireland every year. While we couldn’t compare their numbers to Irishmen moving to the US, we will surely find interesting stories.
Moving from one country to another is a big decision to take even if you’re single, but imagine you’re doing this for yourself and for your family! Such a big leap of faith to take but as we’ll hear in the rebroadcast of the Bitesize Irish Gaelic 55th podcast episode, moving from the US to Ireland has its benefits for sure.
We’re talking to Susan FitzGerald who’s from the United States but lived in Ireland for the best part of over twenty years. Susan moved to rural east County Clare – a beautiful part of Ireland that doesn’t get a lot of visitors (even if it should!). We’re going to find out what’s it like to move from the US to Ireland, how is the rural life in Ireland and what are the best times of the year to visit Ireland.
This is a rerun of the 55th Bitesize Irish Gaelic podcast episode, in the English language.
