In this episode, we share. Dear Atheist, We Wish You Knew What It Really Means to Be a Christian. We realize many have heard different ideas and have even experienced Christian community and church in various forms.

But personally experiencing Christ is different than experiencing Church and what others may say Christianity is. Take a few minutes and find out wha the difference really is.

Sadly, many atheists and deconstructionists share stories of their tainted experiences in local churches and/or in relationships with those who call themselves Christians.

That can be very confusing and very detrimental to a person’s pursuit of what real Christianity is.

Ultimately, not everyone in the church has truly been born again. Not everyone in the church is a mature Christian, even if they have been saved.

Christians are flawed people who still live in this flesh and still struggle with their own propensity to sin. We are also on a journey to becoming experientially who we are positionally and we fail.

The point is that while Christians should image Christ well and should be like Paul who said, “Follow me as I follow Christ,” oftentimes they fall short.

Christ is the One who died for our sins. He is the One we place our faith in.. Not other Christians.

So, while others may have done something to hurt you, Christ died to save you.

Don’t let what others have done to you cause you to miss what Christ has done for you.

This is Part 2 of our Dear Atheist series: The thought for this episode is... DEAR ATHEIST: PLEASE DON’T SETTLE FOR NOT KNOWING THE TRUTH.

We realize that some may balk at this point, but we also have seen those who didn't stop searching and ultimately became Christians as a result of not giving up.

This video is intentionally not an apologetic debate or a scientific study to shed some kind of new light. There are plenty of those out there.

This is just a heart-to-heart conversation in which we just want to encourage our atheist friends to not give up in their search to know if God is real. We know what He has done in our lives and the many ways He's showed up that clearly reveal His personal interaction in our lives. And while atheists will reject the claim that God exists, they can't refute what we know is true in our own experience and the experience of so many others.

So, this is a heartfelt appeal to not give up.

Since atheism is a belief that there is no God, it necessitates that at some point in their lives, they made a conscience decision that they do not believe in the existence of God.

But in conversations with atheists, our experience has been that their focus is on what they do’t believe, rather than on what they do believe.

The ever-changing science on which many atheists adhere to leave them without a solid answer for how this world came into existence, how the earth and life are sustained, how the universe continues in motion and how the earth, in all its complexity (although atheists would say complexity isn't a factor for believing in God), exists on its axis at just the right tilted degree range and spins at just the right speed and remains at just the right distance away from the sun and the moon... along with other very complicated realities of life cannot be something that just happened or even evolved.

Everyone has the right to believe what they choose about God. That's a personal decision each one needs to make for themselves.

We are just sharing our hearts based on conversations we've had with some atheist friends and with some who have turned from the faith - and based on our personal experience in our relationship with the Lord.

Some atheists, in their quest for answer, turned to God and became Christians. Others have not. Yet. Maybe they never will. But as learners, we pray they never stop seeking to know.

This is part 1 of a 3 part series called, Dear Atheist, there’s something we really wish you knew. With so many people grappling with what they believe about God and getting their information from self-proclaimed atheists and deconstructionists, there are a few things we sure with atheists knew from Christians.

The 1st is, “Doubt and questions are a normal part of a person’s faith journey… but it’s where you go for your answers that really matters.” Goggling your answers or going to an atheist or deconstructionist is like needing heart surgery and going to a med school dropout and asking them to preform your surgery. The only difference is, this has eternal ramifications… souls hang in the balance.

Find out why it’s important to go to the right sources for your answers and what those sources are.

Men and women throughout history have struggled to find the same answers about God, His existence, His interaction with His creation and a host of other legitimate questions.

• John the Baptist had questions.
• David had questions.
• Job had questions.

The thing is, they knew where to go with their questions. They didn’t do a google search or ask those who didn’t really know God for themselves.

They asked God to reveal Himself. They asked others who knew God personally.

Going to other atheists is not only like going to a med school dropout for heart surgery… it’s like going to someone who has’t really found the answer yet to give you the answer you’re looking for.

Ask someone who grappled with the same questions you are how they came to know God is true instead of trying to look for ways to disprove His existence simply because you either don’t know what to believe, have been hurt by somewhat who says they are a believer or just don’t want to believe because acknowledging God would mean that you’re accountable to Him.

Remember… Truth doesn’t become less true simply because you don’t believe it.

Ultimately, believing in God or not believing in God is a matter of faith.

A believer has faith in God. A nonbeliever has faith that God does’t exist.

But… dear atheist… what if you’re wrong?
