Today, Liz Sensintaffar, Marketing Director of Job Point and occasional host of "What's the Point?" returns with a brand new interview with Mary Hall, Job Point Graduate, 2022 Award of Excellence Winner and current Board Member.
Mary shares the captivating story of how she made the decision to flee from a bad situation in Illinois and start fresh in Columbia, Missouri. Her climb to the top hasn't always been easy, but by choosing to be the eagle, she has learned to let all of the crows and negatively fall away.
Mary hopes that by sharing her story, she can encourage others who are struggling to break free from the walls that domestic abuse can create for survivors and help them find their own a-ha moment and the courage to move forward.
Braeden and Jerrell return for the second half of their conversation about Brae's visits to Washington D.C. He continues to share how the experiences have continued to open his eyes to all that he is capable of and the urgency for action within our own community.
Today's episode features Job Point's Director of YouthBuild, Jerrell Morton, as he and recent YouthBuild graduate, Braeden McCollum chat about a recent conference Braeden was able to attend and how it changes his perspective in ways he never imagined it could. As with our first two episodes, we've split this conversation into two parts. This episode features part one of their chat - focusing mostly on what Brae experienced during his trips to Washington D.C. with YouthBuild and AmeriCorp.
In today's episode, Braeden McCollum expands on how he came to Job Point and how he knew this was where he needed to be. Brae is joined by Job Point's Marketing Director, Liz Sensintaffar, as they continue their discussion around taking responsibility for your future, acknowledging the flaws of systems and how Brae has continued pushing to overcome the barriers in his life.
Welcome to our inaugural episode of Job Point's podcast, "What's the Point?" Today will be the first of four episodes featuring recent Job Point YouthBuild graduate, Braeden McCollum. During these first two episodes, Brae was still an active student and living through the thick of his journey at Job Point. He shares his origin story, if you will, and how circumstances in his life lead him to this point. He is joined by Job Point's Marketing Director, Liz Sensintaffar, for a lively conversation.
