This week on What's Up Pitch? I have a conversation with Larry Larson, play-by-play broadcaster for the Peoria Chiefs.
Larry gets to experience baseball from a different perspective, behind the microphone. We talk about his journey into broadcasting, what goes into calling a baseball game, and what it's like being around Minor League Baseball.
There is a lot more to broadcasting than just calling balls and strikes.

This week on What's Up Pitch? I have a conversation with Kyle Padgett.
Kyle was drafted by the Florida Marlins in the 18th round of the 2005 MLB Draft. Baseball was a big part of his life, but like many players, there comes a time when you have to figure out what's next.
Kyle might be done playing baseball, but he still has big dreams and plenty he wants to accomplish in the game.

This week on What's Up Pitch?, I sit down with Pete the Baseball Nerd.
Pete looks at baseball a little differently than I do. He's big on numbers and analytics. I grew up with certain stats, and now there are all these new ways to evaluate players.
We're talking chase rate, arm speed, bat speed, and other stats that are new to me. Meanwhile, I'm still looking at ERA and batting average.
But this podcast isn't about numbers. So instead of breaking down stats, we talk about different issues in baseball and how the game has changed.
Trust me, this isn't a conversation about numbers. It's just a different way of looking at the game.

Drew and I talked about playing well and still not getting your name in the lineup. He shared how he handled it and what he wishes he’d done differently.
We also got into nine years on an air mattress, getting drafted by voicemail, and celebrating a championship in Puebla.
Appreciate Drew taking the time to talk with me.
