What’s up World!!

Sime folks have been wondering what happened to AppTT. Danny explains the somewhat new direction that AppTT will be taking, and how exciting these changes will be.

Appalachian Table Tales is brought to you by Erik Hubbard, Executive Director of Backroads of Appalachia and Americorps VISTA, as well as Danny Potter, Owner and host of the What's up World Podcast. Danny is the Digital Storytelling Coordinator for Americorps and Appalachian Table Tales is a spin off series of the wildly popular What's up World Podcast.

In these episodes Danny highlights the underdog, and far too often forgotten Appalachian spirit that helped mold America into what it is today. With the help of Erik Hubbard and Americorps, these episodes bring you tales from the hills and hollers of rural America with emphasis on the roots of Appalachia. These stories are unfiltered and unedited to bring you the most raw and purest form of Appalachian culture and heritage possible. Please join us in recalling stories of the past and we do hope you enjoy them.

Amanda reached out to me and wanted to share her testimony. Shes endured several abusive relationships and an abundance of chaos in life ultimately to find her way through her religious experiences. I want to thank both Amanada and Jared for coming to the studio and telling their story. And I have a feeling Amanda will be back in the studio soon to talk of some other things that both her and Danny find interest in. Thank You for listening.

The What's up World Podcast is not for the faint of heart. In this studio we bring you guests from all walks of life. And we always root for the underdog. In your face, unapologetic and real. There are no preset questions or made-up stories on this Podcast, just unscripted conversations that will leave you wanting more.

Donnie Parrett is a very well-known Man who throughout his life has spread Love and Joy to everyone he meets. Since losing his vision at the age of six, Donnie has not let that slow him down in the least. From climbing on the roof of his home to put up Christmas lights, to buying a scooter and totaling it 30 minutes later, there's never a dull moment with Donnie. And for the first time I got to meet his small friend Clyde who tags along with Donnie. As well as Brad who is the lead Pastor at Souls Harbor Church in London Ky. You can tell by my laughter that I thoroughly enjoyed my conversation with all three of these guys.

If anyone out there is interested in contacting Donnie about any of the gadgets that she uses to aid him with his loss of vision, please contact Danny at [email protected] and I will put you in contact with Donnie himself.

Also please feel welcome to join Donnie and Brad at Souls Harbor Church in London KY. The link to this amazing Church is below.

Jimmy and Brittany come from both sides of drug abuse. Jimmy who dealt and sold marijuana and ultimately went to prison for it. And Brittany who was the drug user. This couple have come from that life into their new life where they go around telling of how they got clean, and a man called God who made it possible.
