What's Your Legacy?

Dr. Samir Akruk is known for his thriving medical practice in Pennsylvania, but his personal journey may be more unique than his patients realize. His journey has taken him from Beirut to Athens, Georgia to Juárez in pursuit of education and opportunities. In this episode, Dr. Akruk shares his story and explores the book he's writing for his family.

Lynne grew up in the United States and Tim in the United Kingdom. They met—and fell in love—while traversing the Camino de Santiago, a pilgrimage leading to Galicia in northwestern Spain. Now, they're embarking on an altogether different kind of journey.

A native of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Francine Lida Stone now divides her time between Pennsylvania and Oxfordshire, England. Francine is the granddaughter of the founder of the David Library of the American Revolution, Sol Feinstone, and the daughter of the Library’s first president and director, Ezra Stone. She serves as vice president of the board of the David Library. 

Francine holds a BA from Harvard University, a MA from University of London in English Literature, and a PhD in Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies from University of Manchester.
