I cannot tell you the number of clients that have asked me, is it true that most podcasts don't make it past episode seven? It's absolutely true. The vast majority of podcasts don't ever reach seven episodes Why is
The fact of the matter is that most podcasters don't know what they're talking about.
I don't mean that they are not expert in their own field or in the hobby or the industry or the passion project that they are discussing in their podcast. What I mean when I say most podcasters and not just podcasters, but content creators, period, people who make Instagram reels and TikToks, most of them don't know what they're talking about. What I mean is they don't know what their message is.
As a content creator, the absolute first thing you have to understand is What is it about you that is charismatic, and consistent?
On your best day, there's no telling what you might be able to give a great speech about.
But if you're going to be a content creator, you have to know what you can speak about anytime, anywhere, under any circumstances, and with any boundaries or confinements.
What topic could you give me a meaningful nugget of information about in a minute?
What topic could you talk to me about for an hour without repeating yourself?
For most of us, there's at least one topic that we could answer both of those with.
That's your message.
As a business owner, your podcast or your content doesn't have to focus on the industry or the products or the services that you sell.
The point in this entire experiment is to become visible to your clients, customers, and the community at large. People gotta know who you are, what you do, and why they would want to work with you.
Or maybe that they wouldn't want to work with you at all.
In my course starting November 1st, we're going to teach you not only the tools that you'll need to capture your message and deliver it to the internet, but what that message is in the first place. We're going to help you explore who you are, what you do, and why people should give a damn.
We're going to turn a few followers into fans, and we're gonna turn your following into funds.
Six weeks with business owners, entrepreneurs, and brand representatives just like you looking to craft and refine their message. Join us, won't you? November 1st is the first class. We're gonna do weekly video calls to sound out your problems, the issues you're facing, and how we can overcome them together. We're building a great community, and I want you to be a part of it. Seats are limited, though, so follow the link below or sign up right now at JoelSharpton.com/#mypodcast
The course lessons are asynchronous, meaning you can watch them anytime and they’ll drop weekly starting November 1st.
BUT, the video calls will not be scheduled until I have a class full and I can take YOUR temperature on when YOU want to get together.
I want the most people to be able to attend every week.
