Ever feel like you don't have enough time to work on yourself to make those positive changes you crave? Well, what if I told you that it doesn't take hours? Did you know that studies show just 10 minutes of focused, intentional action daily can create significant shifts over time? Think about it – that's less time than you probably spend scrolling through social media!
See, the secret to big changes isn't in crazy life overhauls. It's about those small, super-consistent habits that work their magic slowly but surely, like how a little seed turns into a giant, beautiful tree. Think of these 10-minute habits as planting those super-important life seeds. Let's dive into nine awesome and easy habits you can do each day for positive changes in your life.
Don't let the search for grand transformations distract you from the power of tiny steps.
We often get obsessed with the big picture of the end goal and feel paralyzed by the distance. Massive changes don't happen overnight. They result from those almost invisible daily improvements, the little actions strung together consistently over time.
This concept applies to everything—health, relationships, careers. Imagine losing weight not with a drastic diet but with small, sustainable eating changes and 10 minutes of daily exercise.
Or fixing a troubled relationship not with a single big gesture but with tiny acts of kindness and communication daily. That's the magic of these micro-habits—they're achievable, they're sneaky, and they add up in ways you wouldn't expect.

One of the most difficult challenges of sticking to your goals personally and professionally is changing your behavior. Goals like improving your health, reaching a milestone, or revising daily routines aren’t easy. In fact, studies show that our brains don’t like change, are wired for laziness, and have a limited capacity. Ouch! And we often fail because we don’t practice the correct steps.
As with any process, there’s an order to follow. For example, when administering first aid, it’s vital to work sequentially. Before caring for an injured or ill person, you should obviously call for help. Then you check for breathing and a pulse to determine if CPR is needed. Next, if a wound is present, you must attempt to protect yourself from bloodborne pathogens before trying to stop the bleeding.
Or let’s say you’re painting a room in your house. Obviously, you need to choose your paint color (will it be Arizona Dust? Blissful Blue? Soft Candlelight? Gallery Gray?) and purchase the proper amount. You should then prepare the area. You’ll likely move furniture, tape off the trim, and cover the floor with a drop cloth. After all, you wouldn’t want to open that fresh can of paint on an unprotected carpet! Putting in the time for preparation saves you a big headache (and extensive clean-up) later on.
Likewise, there are steps to changing behavior in order to successfully reach your goals. Let’s take a closer look at what’s required.

As a business owner, you’re constantly on the move. There are a million things that constantly need your attention and you’re making decisions left and right. Moving fast is just a way of life.
Making quick decisions, however, is not necessarily the same as making good decisions.
When you dive into cognitive psychology and economics, you’ll discover that there is an actual science behind the act of decision-making. The ideas of fast and slow thinking as two different modes of thought, were first described in Daniel Kahneman’s book Thinking, Fast and Slow.
According to Daniel, we have a two-system way of thinking: Thinking Fast (System 1) and Thinking Slow (System 2). Keep listening for more on how to recognize these systems within yourself, and how harnessing the power of each one can help improve the quality of the decisions that you make.
Thinking Fast (System 1)
An easy way to think of System 1 is that it is your gut reaction to experiences in your life. It is arguably the stronger of the two systems, and we tend to default to thinking fast, or reacting quickly, before moving on to a slower processing of events.
Thinking Slow (System 2)
System 2 is the slower, more thoughtful sibling to System 1.
While System 1 is the younger sibling who screams “Let’s go!” and jumps off a roof into the pool because it seems fun, System 2 is the more responsible older sibling who takes time to assess the risks of jumping off of the roof and decides it’s probably better not to do it.
Apply Fast and Slow Thinking to Your Business

Every successful entrepreneur knows that a business is only as strong as its people. Surrounding yourself with top-notch "A players" is not just nice to have; it's a non-negotiable factor for you achieving your goals and making a lasting impact. As Jack Welch famously put it, "If you pick the right people... you almost don't have to manage them.”
However, in today's competitive job market, attracting and keeping those talented individuals takes more than just a good salary and a ping pong table in the break room.
Think of top talent like buried treasure. Successful entrepreneurs have mastered the art of finding the treasure, onboarding the crew to dig it up, and ensuring the ship stays happily sailing to its destination. Let's break down their strategies into five main steps:
Download my complimentary support team performance assessment, so you can customize it for each of your team members by going to https://bit.ly/SupportTeamAssessment. It is a great communication and expectation tool.
Building an unstoppable team of 'A' players is an ongoing journey, not a one-time task. Continuously refine your recruitment and retention strategies to attract top talent. By doing so, you'll not only gain a crucial competitive advantage, you will also position your company as the premier destination for the most talented professionals eager to advance their careers. This commitment to excellence is what sets great companies apart from good ones.

Okay, let's be honest – we all want that little extra edge in life, right? That unwavering determination that helps you get things done, no matter what.
Well, guess what? Navy SEALs have that grit in spades, and the good news is that you can actually learn a thing or two from them. It's about how you think and talk to yourself!
Mental Toughness: It's Not Just for Battlefields
We tend to think of Navy SEALs as superhuman warriors, and they can be pretty darn tough out in the field, that’s for sure. What really sets them apart is their mental resilience.
It's about pushing through discomfort, fear, and doubt to keep going even when you want to quit. That kind of toughness is a game-changer in any area of life.
Let’s explore 5 steps to help you think and talk to yourself like a Navy Seal.
Okay, let's get real for a minute. Changing your mindset and self-talk patterns doesn't happen overnight, especially if you're used to being negative which many people are by nature. It's like a muscle – you must train it consistently to strengthen it.
80% of success is mindset and 20% is strategy!
95% of our thoughts are the same each day, and on average, 80% of our thoughts are negative!
Your Turn to Take Action
Remember, adopting the Navy SEAL mindset isn't about becoming a different person. It's about unlocking the potential that's already within you. You've got the grit and determination – now it's time to unleash it.
