Episode Six is a little different from the previous episodes in that Louise isn't a "professional" cyclist, however, her story is something some people only dream about. Not many people have the guts to completely pick up your life and move to a new country where you don't know the culture or speak the language just so you can live life the way you want to. It's been a few years since Louise moved to Girona, Spain from London. Since moving to Girona she has started a successful cycling touring company, Eat Sleep Cycle, with her husband and their mutual friend. She spends most of her days researching restaurants, planning rides, and of course riding her bike all over the place. Louise is definitely following her dreams and building a life she can be proud of. Her story is inspiring, so I hope you enjoy hearing about her! And definitely look into Eat Sleep Cycle if you also dream of riding your bike in beautiful places and eating amazing food!

When Ally was racing professionally she was racing for the best team in the world. Her hard work was behind countless team wins and her reputation for turning herself inside out was know throughout the peloton (and the world...). A few years ago Ally started making bars to eat during training and was testing them out on her teammates. Now, those bars have grown into a full blown business, Ally's Bars. Some of the most delicious bars on the market! (I'm a personal fan of the Apple Carrot Ginger flavor) In addition to being a business woman, Ally is also a new mother to Liam Blaze Murphy, born late September 21, 2016 to Ally and her husband John Murphy (professional rider for Holowesko Citadel).
Ally and I chatted about her career, wrestling, teamwork, and much more in episode four of Wheel Talk...

In episode two of Wheel Talk I chat with teammate Amber Pierce about her start in cycling, injury, nutrition, getting bad advice, and much more. An episode packed full of laughter, jokes, and great advice (that you should take with a grain of salt). Amber has been racing professionally in the USA and Europe for many years and is incredibly intelligent, she is a fantastic mentor for anyone getting started and even for pros who are still finding their place in the sport.
During the podcast Amber and I discuss injury and the website http://injuredathletestoolbox.com which helps athletes mentally work through injury.
Additionally, here is a link to Amber's podcast "Network for Advancing Athletes" https://www.advancingathletes.org/podcast/
