Well Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to every one! We have decided to change things up a little bit for this coming weeks episode. WHEELZ UP RADIO Presented by SASSY RACING ENGINES. As you may or may not know. Weds is the 75th Anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. So out of respect for all the lives lost I decided to move the show to Monday night at 7 pm est.

I want to do something a little different for this week’s Show. We want to hear from you. Talk about your season. Talk about what you thought of how things were run. Racing schedules and what you would like to see in 2017. We haven’t done this before and want to just be different. You can basically call it an open mic night. Monday night you get a chance to have control of what we talk about. We hope you will take this chance and give us a call. We want to hear from YOU!!! Mid Atlantic .90 President Rob Keister will be your host as Chris is on the mend and he will be joined by non other then Tri-State Stock/SS President Mike Carr & Bob "The Sheriff" Bender. This week's show see's the gang chatting with Top Alcohol Dragster & .90 Racer Earl Nichols Jr. and East Coast TAFC Tuner Dan Pomponio Jr. Mike will also recap his yearly trip to Mason-Dixon Dragway and we will also see how the points are shaking out all over the nation as the Lucas Series closed up its season. 

The first guest on Wednesday's night show is the driver of the Winward Blown Top Alcohol Dragster & .90 Racer, we're talking about none other than Earl Nichols Jr. The business man out of Wilmington, De has been around racing for quite awhile and just recently started driving Winward's dragster in 2015. At Atco in August Nichols laid down a career best of 5.46 to qualify in a tough field of competitors and be the only blown car to qualify.

Next up, is an up and coming crew chief who also resides in the Alky ranks. Dan Pomponio Jr. has been making his name in Division 1 as the tuner for his Father's Dan's Monte Carlo Funny Car. Pomponio Jr. has led his Dad to numerous victories on the National Event level at Gainesville & Charlotte and back to back victories at the Epping, NH region event in 2015 & 16. He also has recently joined the Boninfante Friction team as a Project Liaison Coordinator and also serves part-time as the clutch man on the Megan Meyer Top Alcohol Dragster that had much success this year.

This week on Wheelz-Up Radio presented by Sassy Race Engines we join host Chris Barnes, Tri-State Stock/SS President Mike Carr, Mid Atlantic .90 Association President Rob Keister & possibly Bob "The Sheriff" Bender will be pulling the squad car into the lanes sirens blaring. On this week's show the gang will talk with recently crowned Division 1 Super Stock Champion Gary Ewing about his season. They will also look back to an action packed Las Vegas National Event & Rockingham D-2 Event and preview the ever popular Las Vegas D-7 event that is the finale for the Lucas Oil Series for the year and will mostly solidify who the champions will be for the World and the individual Divisions.

This week's guest is a legend in the ranks of Division 1. When you think of Super Stock on the East Coast this name usually comes to the top - The Ewing Brothers. Driving their 1969 Z-28 Camaro the younger brother of the three (Gary) wheeled the SS/JA to the Division 1 Super Stock Championship in 2016 by outlasting some of the biggest names in the Northeast. Racing for over 40 years out of their home in Maryland, the Ewings have claimed National Event trophies at the Keystone Nationals and a few Runner-Ups at E-Town and the Summernationals. When not racing they keep a busy schedule, as they love displaying the car in shows when time allows. Not only is their vehicle quick and fast on the track, but also gets a many a second look when standing still at the local shows. We look forward to talking with Gary about how his season went and how he was able to outlast the best of the best and claim a championship.

On this week's show the gang will talk with Pro Stock Legend Larry Morgan about what he's been up to over the 2016 season. The guys will also preview the final Divisional Race on the East Coast in Rockingham, NC and the next to last National Event in the "Sin City" and Las Vegas.   

This week's guest is a Pro Stock legend and Larry Morgan. Larry, started his career out in the sportsman ranks winning 7 National Events in that series before stepping up to the Professional Ranks in 1989. Morgan won a total of 12 Events in Pro Stock driving everything from an Oldsmobile to Dodge to Ford to Chevy in his storied career. In 2016, Larry found himself on the outside looking in when his primary sponsor FireAide decided to sign in Top Fuel and leave Larry with no backer. Larry though didn't miss a step and decided to go back to where it all started and go back to his roots and race in the Sportsman ranks with a Stock COPO. Larry has also become a member of the famed Ohio Mile 200 mph club with his Jesel Land Speed Truck at 216mph back in early October. We will talk to Larry about his career and what plans he has for 2017 and if it involves going back to Pro Stock.
