3 MAJOR POINTS DISCUSSED

●  Respect is a two-way street and it goes very far. What is respect and how does it show up in relationships? Respect is recognizing and avoiding bringing harm to something. In a relationship, this can be applied to one another’s space, privacy, professions, hobbies, opinions, words, and so much more. Having open communication and letting one another talk, while listening to what they’re saying, is a way of showing respect. Being kind and remaining non-judgmental is respect. How do you show respect to your partner?

●  As they say, communication is key. We’ve heard it time and time again, but are you implementing affective communication strategies in your relationship? Communicating proactively helps avoid issues later on, which can save you a lot of time and energy. Asking questions in order for each other to feel comfortable and safe with each other is also important. Is there something you haven’t been communicating to your partner about? We challenge you to bring it to the surface!

●  Don’t let the passion fizzle out. What does passion mean to you? It could mean helping one another in life, it could relate to sex and intimacy, it could be showing love, appreciation, and gratitude. Whatever passion means to you, remember to consistently incorporate it into your daily life. James and Beth love starting and ending their day with a kiss (or many). How sweet!
