When Lazarus died, his sisters weren’t expecting him to be raised. They had expected Jesus to arrive in time to save him, but that had not happened. Nevertheless, in spite of their disappointment, their faith in Jesus would not change. They become an example to us of remaining faithful even in those dark moments, and not letting our disappointment turn to bitterness.
