How many times has some told you to have a great day?  Can you really have a great day without God?

Real friends are with you no matter what you are going through.  It took a life changing event for me to better understand that God is more than a friend to all of us.

Wash, Rinse, Repeat!  I'm not talking about how to shampoo your hair but how to strengthen your faith and become All In for God!

As I pondered what it meant to be God's servant, I didn't have to look very far to find my example.  In this episode, I describe the relationship between two men who work at my office building.  In them, I find the definition of God's servant.

In this episode I talk to Tom Derzypolski about opportunities he has had to serve our country and the people in it.  Tom also talks about his love for his God and his family and how his childhood shaped the man he has become.

This is the final week of the July Christmas challenge and I read Mark Chapters 13 - 16.  

There were three events that stood out to me while I was reading.

1. Peter denies Jesus for the third time.
2. Jesus is brought before Pilot.
3. Jesus denies pain medicine while on the cross. 

Continuing our July Christmas challenge, this week I read Mark Chapters 9 - 12.  The two main points that I took away from the reading were, 1) power comes from complete faith and 2) humble service leads to a place of honor.  

I challenged all of us to pick one of the Gospels and read it through the month of July. I said I would do the same and post how the book affected me.

I chose Mark. No real reason other than it is usually not the Gospel I read for the big ticket items like Christmas and Easter.  In this episode, I talk about chapters 5-8.

Jesus continues to perform miracles of compassion and teach the disciples what it means to follow him.

We all have a part in Christian service.  I had the honor to speak to Dave Westberry, Voice of the Florida State University Marching Chiefs, about his life of service  as an announcer and mentor.  We also discuss his mission trips to Haiti and how those experiences changed his life.
