Can you recall the last time you were sick? The discomfort and anxiety over its consequences can easily dishearten us. In John 11:1-6, Jesus teaches his disciples that God permits us to experience periods of illness, tribulations, and pain for the Glory of God and His Son. While God may take His time in responding our prayers, He cultivates within us a spirit of patience during the most intense trials.
