Settling on a realistic number and being honest about what you can and can't afford has so many downstream effects on the wedding planning process that its helpful to take a step back and be as thorough as you can.

    • "Averages" will probably not be realistic for your wedding so don't just assume that's what your cost will be. Probably will be more.
    • What items go into your budget? What are you going to prioritize?
    • Fixed costs vs variable costs?
    • Do not forget taxes, service fees, and gratuity!

      The wedding guest list is one of the most important things to nail down early as it will impact a lot of future decisions and heavily impact the budget. On this weeks episode, Steven and Chris discuss how they thought about their own guest lists, how the number evolved over time, and what considerations they may have had to make to friends and family.
