Recently, I had a completely unexpected encounter. I was meeting someone for work — an ordinary, professional conversation. And then, completely out of nowhere, it turned out he knew my story. Not just knew of me - knew the details. Because he had been connected to the man who abused my son.

And in that moment, something happened that I genuinely did not expect.

The feelings came back.

The anger. The guilt. The grief. All of it - suddenly as raw and immediate as it had ever been. Even though years have passed. Even though I have done so much work. Even though I thought I was past this.

And it made me ask a question I want to bring to you today.
