When

Paul, the apostle, wrote many of his letters, he kept them relevant by

comparing spiritual things to athletic competition, because society at that

time was in tune to such competition in the Greek games. Life is much more than

a game, but we do have the choice to truly apply ourselves or just “get

by”. God challenges us to run-to-win in this race of life. 

Wouldn’t it be great if we got as excited and more

excited about winning souls as we do about winning games? In five years, many

of us won’t remember who played in this year’s Superbowl, but if one soul comes

to Christ, we’ve made an eternal difference that we can never forget.

In this message, we’ll discover what our true challenge is in

life as a follower of Christ, how to stay motivated in that pursuit, and how to

tell if we’re winning or not.
