In April 2012, Ms. K, a 28 year old Korean woman, was on her way home from work when she had the misfortune of bumping into 42 year old Wu Yuanchun; as Wu would proceed to abduct and assault Ms. K thereafter. However, a sliver of hope emerged during her ordeal as Wu would leave Ms. K alone for a brief moment, allowing her precious time to make a call to the police. Tragically however, the authorities would only enact upon her desperate when it was already too late.
