Double Dragon was a great video game back in the day which was eventually picked up as a cartoon series. I recently watched the first few episodes and, while obviously dated, turned out to be pretty interesting. Very derivative of the old Kung Fu cinema features. Today Tonya and I review two recent popular horror/slasher movies: Terrifier (2016) and Terrifier 2 (2022) the later of which features my good, close, personal friend Chris Jericho. Art the Clown has become one of the hottest cult monster characters of this era. Make no mistake, these movies are terrible but I think they are supposed to be. They are certainly a throwback to the old VHS straight to video slasher movies and there are a lot of easter eggs from that genre as well.

Karl and Tonya return with a duel movie review. From 1986 the Tom Cruise classic Top Gun and the sequel from 2022 Top Gun: Maverick. Both were awesome movies and this is a rare case where the sequel, though 36 years later, was as good or better than the original. Also, why has Tom Cruise seemingly not aged a day in 36 years? Anyway, this movie is all about adrenaline. Powerhouse jets coming right at you, Kenny Loggins blaring Danger Zone. What's not to love?

Karl and Tonya sit down to watch the second installment of Creed from the Rocky Universe of movies and we liked this one much better than Creed I. This one brought back Ivan Drago along with his son to face Adonis Creed but Rocky isn't having any of it. A LOT happens in this movie with Adonis Creed winning the World title, getting hammered by Viktor Drago, and then having to make the Rocky style comeback. Also, we get a very nebulous possible ending for Rocky Balboa! Stay tuned!

Well, well, well, what have we here? NoFriender finally crawls from beneath whatever rock he's been hiding under and all it took was for Over Kill to release a new album. Scorched is the twentieth studio album by American thrash metal band Overkill, released on April 14, 2023. It is the band's first studio album in four years, following The Wings of War, the longest gap between studio albums for the band. Much in the same way the gap between episode 95 and 96 of the Thrash Metal Show was the longest for NoFriender. 

Karl and Tonya review the next installment in the Rocky Universe with a look at Creed I (2015) where we pick up Rocky's story by way of Apollo Creed's previously unknown son Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordan). We find out how Creed had this secret son, his rough childhood, how he travels to Philadelphia to meet Rocky, and a tons of twists and turns. We also a revelation of a nearly 30 year old secret- who won the basement rubber match between Rocky and Apollo at the end of Rocky 3.

Everything, Everywhere, All at Once (2022) is now the most awarded movie in history. Seriously, this movie has garnered more accolades than any other film, so Tonya and I have sat down to watch it and it is a mind trip all right. There are some incredible performances to be sure. Ke Huy Quan, Michelle Yeoh, Jamie Lee Curtis, and others do a great job. But does this film deserve all the love heaped upon it? Eh, there are some problems, but it is a heck of a story.
