“Elisha Protects Life”
2 Kings 4:38-41
Growing up next to mamaw and papaw, I’d sometimes go blackberry picking in the woods with Papaw Troy. We pick, and pick, and pick for the morning hours while it was cool. Sometimes the black raspberries before ripe would be red. Those were fine. But there were some other red berries that he told me were poisonous and not for picking or eating. In the story today, some preacher boys like me found some wild treats themselves and Papaw wasn’t there to warn them. It made things go from bad to worse quick.
